Terms of Use

Effective September 13, 2026 · Operated by Jared Hirt

These terms govern your use of Desk Tactics, operated by Jared Hirt. By accepting these terms, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and provide an email you control. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate someone or use multiple accounts to evade a host’s removal or manipulate a game.

Play and host controls

Desk Tactics is offered for social entertainment. AP and hearts have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for money, and are not prizes. Do not use the service to run gambling, paid-entry wagering, or unlawful competitions.

The in-app rules describe movement, shooting, AP gifts and drops, jury voting, and victory. Server-accepted actions determine game state. Hosts control lobby capacity, the start of a game, playable days, hours, and closures. Joining closes when the game starts.

Hosts may remove another player from an open lobby or active game, including a jury member, at any time. Removal revokes that account’s game access and votes, discards its AP, and prevents it rejoining that game. Removal can determine the winner or end the game without a winner. Hosts cannot remove themselves, and completed results cannot be changed using this control. Contact the host about group decisions or contact us to report abuse.

Respect other players

Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, expose another person’s private information, submit unlawful content, exploit bugs, automate unfair play, bypass security or rate limits, or interfere with the service. Strategic alliances and permitted AP gifts are part of the game. Participation at work must be voluntary and consistent with your workplace’s rules; game performance should not be used for employment decisions.

Your content and our software

You retain rights in names or other content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate your games and support the service. Only provide content you have permission to use. No ownership of the Desk Tactics software, branding, or other protected materials is transferred to you. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their respective licences.

Availability, changes, and accounts

The service is currently provided free of charge and may change, experience outages, or lose data. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free gameplay, or permanent game history. We may correct bugs and game state, or suspend accounts or games to address abuse, security incidents, legal requirements, or operational needs. Where practical, we will explain a restriction and provide a way to contact us. We will seek agreement to paid features before charging for them.

You may stop using the service and request account deletion by emailing jaredhirt@gmail.com. Deletion may remove or anonymize game records and may end hosted games. See the Privacy Policy for retention and privacy requests.

Responsibility and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties, and Jared Hirt is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory consumer, privacy, or other statutory rights. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to bring a complaint to a regulator or a claim in an appropriate court.

Changes and questions

We will post updated terms with a new effective date and seek acceptance of material changes before further online play. If you do not agree, stop using online play and contact us about your account. Contact Jared Hirt at jaredhirt@gmail.com for questions, reports, or disputes; we will try to resolve concerns fairly.
